常用于基于MTT检测方法的细胞活力、细胞增殖或细胞毒性检测。因为MTT具有正电荷,它可以穿过细胞膜并被线粒体还原形成紫色甲臜染料。溶解MTT甲臜染料需要使用有机溶剂。脱氢酶的检测,生化研究中酶活力的测定,测定NADH2、NADPH2和心肌黄酶(Diaphorase)。

外观: 淡黄色或黄色粉末或橙黄色粉末
溶解性: 微溶于甲醇中,但难溶于水或乙醇中。用醚、丙酮或乙酸乙酯也不能将其完全溶解
敏感性: 对光和湿度敏感
储存条件: 2-8℃,避光
