  有吸湿性。能与各种抗体蛋白结合，结合后的抗体不丧失与一定抗原结合的特异性，并在碱性溶液中仍有强烈绿色荧光（λ_ex 492 nm; λ_em 518 nm），加酸后析出沉淀，荧光消失,微溶于丙酮、乙醚和石油醚。不溶于水。生化研究。荧光抗体示踪。病毒和寄生虫等所致疾病的快速诊断。
